Vel Hobbs - Vice President/General Manager
Jim Bartley, being well-known and highly-respected in the laminating industry, started a great little company in Houston, Texas that he called Newbart Products, Inc.   From a small beginning in 1984, as a Distributor of Laminating Equipment & Supplies, Jim grew his Company into a strong and profitable organization based on explicit criteria … Quality Products at Competitive Prices with Excellent Customer Service.
August of 1996, Vel Hobbs was offered the position of Vice President of Sales by Mr. Bartley to initiate a nationwide marketing/sales program within his Company for the sole purpose of increasing his existing customer base, expanding his product lines, developing win-win relationships with prominent manufacturers within the laminating and dry mounting industry, and to create a successful marketing/sales program.   By the end of 1999, Newbart Products consisted of two strong profitable divisions … Laminating & Mounting Equipment/Supplies and ID Equipment/Supplies.
For both personal and business reasons, Jim made the decision to sell off the Laminating & Mounting Division of Newbart Products in January of 2000.  A crucial factor of the sales agreement with the new owners was for Ms. Hobbs to relocate to Conroe, Texas and continue to handle the operations of the new company known as Lamination Technology. With the relocation complete … Lamination Technology was open and ready for business on February 21st, 2000.
Vel brought with her to Lamination Technology many assets necessary for the continued success of a Nationwide Distributor for the Laminating & Dry Mounting Markets:  several strong win-win relationships with manufacturers, a strong customer base nationwide, and a proven formula for a successful and ethical marketing/sales program.  She also brought established Memberships with prominent industry organizations, such as National School Supply and Equipment Association {NSSEA} and Professional Picture Framers Association {PPFA}. 
Since 2000, there have been changes in ownership of Lamination Technology for personal reasons of our prior owners.   One major factor within our Company continues to remain consistent.  We continue to strive towards building long and mutually profitable relationships with each of our customers, and we continue to operate under the same specific criteria that has kept us successful for more than two decades … Quality Products at Competitive Prices with Excellent Customer Service.  
With our change in ownership in September of 2006, our new owner brought with him years of experience as a Distributor of Paper Products.   As part of this sale, Ms. Hobbs was asked to continue to handle the overall operations of Lamination Technology as Vice President/General Manager.   Wayne Benson, our current owner, fully supports our continued commitment to offering our customers … Quality Products at Competitive Prices with Excellent Customer Service.
